What ODS is — and the job it tries to do

ODS aims to turn one machine into a coordinated private AI platform. It brings inference, chat, dashboard, gateway, automation, and extensions under one lifecycle. That creates value when you want the set; if you only need one API or chat, the breadth may become operational weight.

Bounded analogy: A fitted kitchen helps someone who wants to cook meals; it is excessive for only heating coffee. Services, however, also create network, secret, and persistence surfaces.

Under the hood

The tree separates the root wrapper from the product in ods/. The proposal integrates llama-server, LiteLLM, Open WebUI, dashboard/API, and extensions. Observed structure and declared capabilities are not runtime.

Boundary: installation, runtime, and Docker/Compose were not executed.
